Saw Pirates of the Carribean last evening.

While the movie series were good, I feel that it somehow destroy the magic of the Walt Disney ride.  It put too many supernatural occurances into the movie.  It murder the innocence of the first movie.  It became too much of a commercial movie.

Recently, a lot of mention about priority.  But first, here’s a funny story that I encountered today. 

Everyone should know that divorce is an expensive procedure.  Assets and alimony aside, we are talking about lawyers’ fee and court’s fee.  Well, just like any legal transactions, where there is a legal ruling involve, there are stamp duties.  Plain and simple.  However, in a divorce case, the petitioner (One who file for divorce) will have to foot the petitioning fee (or whatever it is called) of >$2000.  Then the defendant (the other party of coz) will have to pay the stamp duty of about $200.  Today, I heard of a guy who wants to divide everything down the line.  He is too freaking lazy to petition and/or to find out all the procedures and fee involve.  Choosing to rather sit back and ‘predict’ the costs involve.  Priority..it is your case, you better get off your behind and do some homework.  You are going through a divorce, the other party has no obligation to work out the sums for you.  The funny part is that the defendant, the guy in this case, will have to foot another $125 or so I heard if they wanna marry again.  Now this guy wants to even split that fee.  Hmm..talk about planning for the future.

Priority.. we all have things or people who we need to prioritize into our lives.  Even if we are farmers, we have to make time to do the things we want.  In the city life, that is even more important coz we are swarmed with things need to be done and things we wanna do. 

We have to prioritize people as well.  Family > Friends > Strangers.  Work > Fun > Nonsense.  The list goes on and it is different for different people..of coz.  If a family member gives us nonsense, we have to know how to prioritize to deal with it.  A kid wanna go to the zoo, a parent brings them there.  A kid wanna go to playground during a school day, a parent put their foot down for them to study..or so they should.  Given all freedom in the world, we still need to plan for the future.  If we have 10mins to spend with someone, we should give them the 10mins rather than wasting it on a nonsense demand.  If the parent just let the kid play and forget about the schoolwork, then the parent is wrong.  Same as friends.. If they ask a nonsense question, I would give a nonsense answer. 

Does it make me view them any lesser?  Probably not.  But if I take their nonsense, its not pampering..thats call spoiling them.

Its easy to deal with kids, coz a parent has more authority..hopefully..over them.  But when its an adult, we have to take an action so that they get the point.  We must determine the point and help them (by not helping them) to prioritize. 

Just found out a friend who hired a PI to investigate on his cheating wife.  He caught her in bed with another man and is now filing the papers.  He spent $20k for the PI.

Well, I dunno.  I would rather spend that $20k on other woman if thats the case.  Irritate the wife more, so tat she goes to the other man and hence increasing the chance of catching them without spending on the PI. 

So if anyone of you intending to spend $20k on a PI, please let me know.  I will always willing to take up the job. 

My most enjoyable moment today is spending time with my dear dear shopping at Ikea and Giant.  There is really nothing special in the place really.  But its spacious and it reminded me a lot of the good ol days when I was studying.  I wouldnt trade that for any other experience really.  I understand the necessity of distance learning, but if a person can somehow find a way to do it overseas.. I would strongly suggest that as it may be the real holiday that will ever happen in a lifetime.

So we gathered at my place for a bbq today.  Nothing fancy but my dear dear and me spent the whole week planning and the last two days preparing.  Well, that is me preparing while she is fixing a puzzle. 

I wun elaborate any more on that puzzle thingie as it is rather embarassing for her.  But it is definitely a funny thing that happened that day. 

Weekend is almost over now.  Time really flies.  I dun even know where today went.  Well, there is always next weekend. 

Oh..I finally met up with Marcus and David at Tanan’s baby shower.  Its rather interesting that they are up to their neck with children.  Trading in beer mugs for milk bottles has its joys, I suppose.  But really.. Everyone is armed to their teeth with that diaper bags of theirs.

Another baby shower expected next month.  For the past month, I have attended a baby shower a week.  It is becoming expensive.

Somehow, there is quite a number of funerals in the past month as well.  It is freaky. 

So I got to think.. the funerals are really for others.  Like I said before, the dead wouldnt care less if no one came.  So it got me started to think about my own demise.  Not a good topic and Princess will definitely be frowning when she knows this, but hey, it will come one day.

I really do not care if no one came.  I am dead.  It doesnt matter.  Throw my ashes to the sea for recycling or whatever.

But if there is really a need for a wake, this is what I want:

-  A bar serving alcoholic drinks, Heinekein on the tap please. 

-  Live band playing rock and roll. 

-  Projector playing all George Lucas and Steven Spielberg movies.

-  Smoking is allowed.

-  Barbarque pit to serve bbq food for dinner and supper.

-  Anytime a person tears, they must down a shot of vodka. 

-  Anytime a person laughs, the 2 persons closest to them must down a vodka.

That would be fun.

Well, if you read the news, it will say that the latest spidey movie tops the block office.

Personally, it is over-rated.  Go to this movie with an expectation of a romance movie and you will be ok. 

The reason that it tops the block office is probably becoz of the success of the previous 2 movies.  There are 3 villians in this movie and it took too much time building the characters up.  As an action/superhero movie,  it sux.
