The new love of my life.  Let me introduce you to Noodles.

After 2 days of success in pooping on the paper, she decided to spray the whole apartment yesterday.  4 different spots of poop and urine.  Bad Girl! 

Having a puppy is very tiring.  I am so tired of hearing myself saying ‘No.’  Waking up half an hour earlier to feed her and making sure that her cage is clean.  I mopped the floor more often in the last 3 days compared to the last 6 months.

There are still a lot of fun parts though.  Noodles has only 2 speed:  Stationary or Full Speed.  She doesnt even slow down when she goes near to people or object.  She simply crash stop into them.  She likes to paw her toybear a lot.  The other afternoon, she was whining in her cage while happily chewing on her toy bear.  Talk about seeking for sympathies.  The best part about her is that she still need a lot of sleep.  So after some playing in the evening, I usually let her sleep on my tummy while I watch tv.  Of coz, I fell asleep just as fast. 

Recent uproar about drunk astronauts are getting ridiculous.  Why do we bother?  They may have drank night before and already sobering up.  If they are roaring drunk, wun the other ground staff notice?

Besides, what are they going to hit on their way up?  So they wun be posting a danger to other ’sky’ user.  Also, which traffic police is going to catch them drink flying?

More seriously, the rocket is probably launched on autopilot.  I doubt anyone will be able to do anything while the launch is occurring.

What a waste of media space!  Americans have nothing better to do.

The objection of this is that the American media seem to be playing all these ‘controversies’ up by too much.  Look at all the reporting on mud slinging and digging of politicians’ private lives rather than the real issues.

My phone is a quiet phone.  Even Yvonne noticed that I spent more time pressing its buttons than talking through it. 

People just seem not to like to call at all.  Sometimes, a simple less than 1 min phone call can solve a lot of sms-es. 

But people like to sms anyways.  Well, I dun really like to sms. 

Today, I will toast to my quiet phone.  All Hail Carmn!

We can learn a lot from history.

I am looking for 2 movies – ‘Flag of our fathers’ and ‘Letters from Iwo Jima’.  Both is about the WW2 battle on Iwo Jima.  Recently, I am watching a lot of documentaries on WW2.  Somehow, I am captivated with the strategies and timelines of each battle. 

Sports – Federer won his 5th Wimbledon title in tennis last evening after defeating Nadal.  For F1, Rakkionen came in 1st in the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, 2nd by Alonso and 3rd by Hamilton.  Massa is the star imo for being pushed to the last position at starting due to engine stalling problem and caming back into 5th.  My guess is Hamilton will be the champion this year.

Lastly, thank you for all the birthday greetings.  Its been a long time since I am so happy on my birthday.  Thank you all for making it so.  Special thanks to all the special someones.  You know who you are, so I will leave it as that.

Recently, I went to lots of movies. 

Fantastic Four – Good movie.  Production is good.  Casting is great.  Some said that Reeds (Mr Fantastic) is too whimsy.  I guess its to cater to the women crowd, who is more vocal these days about rights as compared to the 50s.  Doom also seem to be less threathening and resemble more like a stuff toy.

Transformer – Its good entertainment.  The storyline changed from the original as expected.  The storyline is a bit dated.  Soundwave cannot be around…who uses a casette tape recorder in USA anymore?  I didnt like the action scenes.  Its too messy, especially when the transformer come to close quarter combat.  They become lumped together.  The human relationship between themselves…whats that about?  We are there to watch transformers..not some pimple face trying to chase up a skirt.  (Given that I thought all the human actors did a great job)

Die Hard 4.0 – The best movie I have seen for a period of time.  The storyline is not new, but good production.  Action keeps rolling to keep it from getting boring.  Retained the original ‘cowboy’ attitude of John Mclane plus a bit of maturity.
